Linked KJV words and phrases open Strong's, original-language forms, transliteration, morphology, and source notes. Direct Strong's searches use the imported STEPBible brief lexicons.

Chapter paging

Move with visible buttons, keyboard arrows, desktop edge clicks, or mobile swipes while preserving normal text selection.

Static data path

The browser uses exported JSON generated from a recorded source. A matching SQLite seed is prepared for the PHP read-only hosting proof of concept.

About

Project status and data boundaries

Read-only by design

BibleMeUp runs as a static reader in the browser. It does not require accounts, notes, highlights, or client-side database writes.

Data model

The public reader consumes exported JSON generated from recorded source files. The matching SQLite schema and core database remain outside the public web root for the planned PHP hosting proof of concept.

Study scope

All KJV chapters are readable and searchable. Matthew Henry Concise commentary is imported from a recorded public-domain source. Strong's lexicon lookup is imported from STEPBible brief lexicons; English word-study links are imported from the recorded CrossWire KJV OSIS source.

Privacy

No account-based tracking

This static build does not include account creation, form submission, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or remote database writes. Recent passages are stored only in the browser's local storage so the reader can reopen the last viewed chapter on the same device.

Accessibility

Keyboard and mobile reading support

The reader includes skip navigation, semantic headings, labeled controls, visible focus states, keyboard chapter movement, tap targets sized for mobile, and reduced-motion handling. Text selection is preserved in the scripture area.
